We started cereal at about 5 months. Here's our first attempt:

In February, we had some really nice, warm days when we were able to be outside.

She also got to see snow for the first time.

Third month

In January, Ella's third month, she and I went back to work full time. Bjoern also took his first business trip since she was born and her Opa came to visit her.

Second month

During her second month, Ella and I went back to work in the mornings, she started sleeping 8 hours at night and we celebrated her first Christmas.

Ella's first month

Our first couple of weeks with Ella were filled with doctor's appointments to check her weight and bilirubin levels and visits with the lactation consultant. Here she is at about 5 days old:

Later that month, her Oma and Opa came to visit, and she enjoyed her first Thanksgiving with them and my family. She also started smiling at about 3 weeks. This is the best picture we have of an early smile:

She also loves her puppies. This is the first time she really noticed Bailey:

First post

I've wanted to do this since Ella was born, and now nearly eight months later, I'm finally getting around to it. First I need to do some catching up...

This is the last picture taken right before we left for the hospital at about 3:30 in the morning on October 30.

And here she is later that evening, all 10 lbs, 1 0z of her.
