Bjoern gave me a surprise party for my 30th birthday. We came home and everyone was there. I had no idea he had planned anything and was totally surprised.

Dressing herself

Ella's new favorite thing to do is dress herself. This is about as far as she can get, but she doesn't want any help from me. She thinks she looks fine just like this.

Ella's first day of school

Yesterday was orientation day at Ella's school. She stayed in her classroom for about an hour while I went to the parent orientation. When I left her she looked scared, but she didn't cry. When I came back she was sitting at the table with her teacher, Ms. Kristie, having some juice, and she said she didn't want to leave.

Ella has decided that she loves weddings. She danced and danced and then got to eat cake.

Ella loves to play outside, but it's so hot that we can't be out until about 7:00 every night.
