A White Christmas in Alabama

This is what we woke up to on Chistmas morning. They expected a dusting to an inch, but by late morning, we had around 3 inches.

After opening presents, we played outside in the snow.

Then we took a snowy drive over the mountain to Grandma and Grandpa's house.

Likes: Going to the playground, coloring and doing art projects, reading, going to school. She still loves shoes. Everytime we go to a store with shoes, she wants to try some on.
Dislikes: Brushing her teeth
Favorite food: Pizza
Favorite books: Her big sister book and any of the Dr. Seuss books
Favorite show: Probably Dora, but she also likes Jack's Big Music Show and Olivia, both of which I prefer to Dora.
Favorite toys: Her monkey that she calls "Ah-ah" and her babydoll that she named Mimi, her lacing beads and other similar toys, and her train set. Some of this may change in a few weeks when she gets more toys for Christmas, although I'm sure Ah-ah and Mimi will stay her favorites.

We had Santa pictures at the neighborhood clubhouse this weekend. Ella wasn't too impressed (Santa guessed that she was 2). She did eventually take a cookie from him.

Ella enjoyed her Thanksgiving dinner. She tried almost eveything and liked several things. She had a lot of fun playing trains with Jayden and playing on the steps.

We often have Mimi (babydoll) and a monkey at the table (in their own chairs, of course), but lately we've also been joined by a little red bunny magnet. He even gets to eat off of Ella's plate.

BIG accomplishment

Ella has been sleeping in her big girl bed since last Wednesday. Her room had been ready for about 2 weeks, but we waited until she said she wanted to sleep in there. She came out of her room once the first night to get a book, but other than that she's stayed in bed until morning. I was nervous the first night, but she's done so well, and I think she actually looks forward to going to bed now.

Ella trick-or-treated with Lauren and she LOVED it. By the end of the night she got really good at saying "trick or treat". It was sad, though, when we got home and she couldn't eat any of her candy because of the peanuts.
